Initial Ideas

The working title of my magazine is "Project In-Motion" alternatively I thought of calling it "Waveform". The In-Motion idea came about when I was thinking about music in general, I though, "Ya know, Music never stops developing, for the better or the worse (Especially the latter). So, I though, why not create a magazine that not only focuses on the subject of the 'Band', but also, on the aspects of how the group has created their music, both musically and technically. Then I thought, I'm also gonna need a back-up title, which is when Waveform suddenly showed up. Music is created by sound, sound is in it's essence a waveform, so, because both Instrument AND Equipment make sounds, why not call it by it's real name?

My Target Audience is any adult between their 18's and 50's that are interested in how music is made, from every aspect, be it how the instrument is played, to how the sound is then later processed. It's quite a wide but specific audience, but that doesn't stop the magazine from being professional.

My price point, is £3.50, because it's a specialized magazine, with a somewhat musically experienced audience. That's not to say that because of the audience, I'm allowed to make it a higher price than your ordinary magazine, but, it seems magazines are either too expensive or too cheap. The price symbolizes the work put into the magazine, and this has a lot of work into itself, it's professional ans sleek.

The content, as said before, is everything from how the 'bands' produce their album, to how they play their instruments. More specifically, the unusual/common instrument techniques used, to the mixing and mastering behind t
he music we hear coming from our speakers. It will include material like:
- Instrument Techniques.
- Mixing and Mastering of records.
- Audio Equipment review.
- Studio set-ups.
- Band interviews.

Content ranging from Techniques to the latter, it will be diverse, but mainly based on the recording and producing of an album.

Style is where this magazine will shine, great content needs great aesthetics. I've got a post-modern/futuristic look for the magazine, because the material will have
a future-proof essence to it. I want easy-on-the-eye colors and a pleasing design to look at.

Mock ups are as follows:
